Retaining muscle has high energy requirements, so simply having more muscle on your body burns more calories, regardless of what you are doing. Powerlifting is a strength sport. Despite many peoples’ misconceptions to the contrary, powerlifting is a highly inclusive sport. The whole point of the sport is to find out just how strong you really are. Competitors attempt to lift as much weight as possible for one repetition in the squat, bench press, and deadlift. Olympic Weightlifting

OLYMPIC WEIGHT LIFTING

The sport of weightlifting consists of two lifts: the snatch and the clean & jerk. Speed is what sets Olympic weightlifting apart from powerlifting. The lifts are therefore executed faster and with more mobility and a greater range of motion during their execution than other strength movements. Hybrid Strength offers the equipment, space, and available coaching to help you from beginner to advanced lifter.

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS

Functional fitness means doing movements that mimic everyday actions by incorporating multiple muscles groups at the same time. This builds strength, stability and mobility across the body, making us more efficient not only inside the gym but outside as well. Hybrid Strength offers all the same equipment you’d find at your local Box gym, but without the expensive monthly price tag, and restricted training hours. If you need additional coaching, our level 1 Crossfit coach is available to answer your questions or work with you 1:1.
